RouteGlide

Privacy Policy

RouteGlide is an Android developer and personal testing tool. Plans, favorites, history, and settings are stored on the device; map, search, and routing features connect directly to the configured third-party services.

1. Scope

This policy applies to the Android application RouteGlide, package com.routeglide.app, distributed by Toolensa. The app does not require a Toolensa account and does not include advertising, Toolensa analytics, or Toolensa crash reporting.

2. Data processed on your device

RouteGlide stores app settings, selected map service URLs, recent searches, favorites, route drafts, saved routes, simulation history, and limited active-session state in the app's local storage. A simulation can process target coordinates, waypoints, speed, direction, elapsed time, and Android location-provider state.

Toolensa does not receive these records through an application backend. Android backups are configured to exclude the main RouteGlide database and active-session preferences.

3. Maps and third-party network services

To show maps, search places, or calculate a road route, your device connects directly to the configured providers. Default builds may use OpenFreeMap for map styles/tiles, Photon for geocoding, and the public OSRM service for routing.

Those services can receive the normal data needed for a request, including your IP address, user agent, search text, coordinates, route waypoints, timestamps, and technical logs. Their own privacy policies and terms govern that processing. Toolensa does not control their retention.

Search text and route coordinates are sent only when the related online feature is used. You can change service endpoints in app settings where supported.

4. Android permissions and special access

  • Internet: loads maps, place search, and road routes.
  • Location: supports map positioning and Android's test-location workflow.
  • Foreground service and notifications: keep an active simulation visible and controllable.
  • Display over other apps: optional floating joystick or controls, only after you grant special access.
  • Mock location selection: you must explicitly select RouteGlide in Android Developer options.

RouteGlide uses Android's standard testing interfaces. It does not require root access and is not designed to conceal mock-location use.

5. Retention, deletion, and sharing

Local data remains until you delete items in the app, clear RouteGlide storage in Android Settings, or uninstall the app. Clearing app data does not remove logs already retained by third-party map services. Toolensa does not sell or share RouteGlide app data because the app does not transmit it to a Toolensa backend.

6. Security, children, changes, and contact

Keep Android updated and download APKs only from the Toolensa product page. RouteGlide is a developer-oriented utility and is not directed to children. Material policy changes will be posted here with a revised effective date.
